Sahana Sridhar is a Bharatanatyam performer and educator based in London. She is a sensitive soloist with over a decade of performing experience (solo and ensemble work) across eminent dance festivals and chamber concerts in India, USA, Italy and Spain. A strong command over rhythm, nuanced portrayal of emotions with deep involvement, and an intrinsic musicality in movement coupled with innate grace form the core of her artistic attributes. Sahana holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and dual master’s degrees in advanced architecture and urban design. Her dedication and commitment, along with the rigorous foundation, allows her to respond to her Ikigai in pursuing a career in Bharatanatyam.
Sahana will be presenting pieces from the traditional repertoire of Bharatanatyam with compositions involving dynamic movements set to complex rhythmic structures displaying the sheer joy of dance and narrative based pieces, celebrating the Supreme Godhead Krishna through stories of desire and devotion.
